Sr. Boys Basketball: Hawks defeat Panthers

Matthew Halton High School's Senior Boys Hawks hosted the Crowsnest Consolidated Panthers on the evening of Thursday, February 8.

It was a tight game in the first half, with the Hawks winning both by a one point margin.

Going into the second half, the Hawks were ahead by a slim 33-31.  The Panthers started to run out of steam in the third, scoring 11 points to the Hawks' 19.  The fourth became a runaway success for the Hawks, who racked up 25 points to the Panthers 14.

Hawks #14 Graham Milligan racked up 22 points, one basket ahead of #4 Carlos Burgo with 20, who was himself one basket ahead of #5 Kory Geddes.

Panthers' #9 Bryan Koentges was a phenomenon, the top scorer in the game with 28 points.
