Culvert replacement will detour traffic on Highway 6 near Pincher Creek
Motorists can expect a detour and minor delays on Highway 6 on the east side of Pincher Creek.
The detour goes into effect July 25 and accommodates replacement of the culvert that carries Highway 6 over Kettles Creek. Traffic will be shifted to a one-lane bridge detour controlled by traffic signals with a maximum lane width of 4.2 metres.
The project is expected to be completed by Oct. 4, weather permitting.
Motorists should use caution in this area and obey all signs, message boards, and flag people. Fines for speeding are doubled in construction zones when workers are present.
