'The Young and Prodigious Spivet' is due to begin filming in the Pincher Creek area shortly.
Willow Valley is buzzing with activity. Cast and crew are arriving, sets are being constructed, portions of roadway have been oiled, and accomodations have been booked.
'The Young and Prodigious Spivet' is being directed by Jean-Pierre Junet, who is known for 'Amelie' and 'Alien Resurrection'. The film is to star Callum Keith Rennie, Helena Bonham Carter, Kyle Catlett, and Kathy Bates.
'Sex and Sunsets', a Serendipity Point Films indie starring Ryan Kwanten ('True Blood') will also begin shooting in late August, with Pincher Creek listed as one of its locations. Canadian actresses Catherine O’Hara and Sara Canning have also been signed to star in the romantic comedy.

ReplyDeleteI thinks it's exciting! My grandson was chosen from the Pincher Creek area to be a "stand- in" for the young character of TS Spivet in The Young and Prodigious Spivet.
