On Wednesday, August 15 the MD of Pincher Creek No. 9 Council drafted a resolution to hold a by-election, if required, to fill the Division 3 seat recently vacated by Rod Zielinski.
If required, the byelection date has been set for Monday, October 1, 2012, and it will be held between the hours of 10:00 am and 8:00 pm at Coalfield School, which is just east of Beaver Mines on Highway 507. Advanced polling will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 if required, between 10:00 am and 7:00 pm at the Municipal District Administration Building, which is located at 753 Kettles Street, Pincher Creek.
CAO Wendy Kay has been appointed as Returning Officer and Development Officer Assistant Tara Cryderman has been appointed as Deputy Returning Officer for the by-election.
