Vandalism investigated in Fort Macleod
On July 30, 2012, the Fort Macleod RCMP received a complaint that sometime between July 28 and July 30 a window belonging to a business located in the 500 block of 12th Street had been shot out with a BB gun.
On the same day RCMP also received a complaint from a homeowner in the 300 block of 20th Street that the glass on their front door had been shattered. A BB gun is also suspected to have been used in this incident that occurred overnight July 27 or the morning of July 28.
On July 31, RCMP received a complaint from a homeowner in the 1600 block of 3rd Avenue that the antenna on their car had been vandalized sometime between 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm on July 31.
On August 13, RCMP received a complaint from a homeowner in the 600 block of 19th Street that their fence had been damaged by a vehicle. The incident occurred at approximately 3:00 am on August 12 and the suspect vehicle is described as a red four door sedan. The suspect vehicle became stuck in the loose gravel of the adjoining property and backed into the fence trying to free itself. The suspect vehicle then fled the scene.
The RCMP are investigating these incidents and are seeking public assistance in identifying any suspects. Anyone that may have witnessed these incidents or who has any information to provide are asked to contact the Fort Macleod RCMP at 403-553-7200 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS). The Detachment is asking that Community members remain vigilant and report all suspicious activities. The Fort Macleod Citizens of Patrol are also aware of these types of incidents and their patrols continue.
