Canyon School asks for community help to renovate playground
In a letter to local councils and to the community at large, Canyon School has asked for help to renovate their aging playground.
"Our existing playground is 19 year, and in dire need of a facelift!"
Principal Carole Goodreau explains that some of the equipment no longer meets existing safety guidelines. Donations from Shell Canada and the Lethbridge Foundation have raised $30,000, about 1/3 the total cost of the project.
"We are asking local groups to consider donating a small amount to this project to help us move our playground renovation project forward. As this playground is accessible to the public, we see this as a worthwhile community project which will unltimately enhance both the town and Canyon School."
Contact Canyon School Principal Carole Goodreau at 403-627-3118 for more information or to contribute.
