Novice Pincher Creek Chinooks Versus Cardston Thunder
Josh Davis, Pincher Creek Voice
Pincher Creek's Novice Chinooks hosted the Cardston Thunder at the MCC Arena on Saturday, October 20. The Chinooks dominated the first period, ending it ahead 5-2.
In the second period Pincher was playing aggressively, and made several shots at the net. Pincher got another goal with 5 minutes remaining, bringing the score to 6-2.
The third period was very close, with a lot of the game played near center ice. Cardston made several shots on the net, but were regularly stopped by a wall of Chinooks. With two minutes remaining in the game, Cardston broke through the Chinooks defensive wall to score a goal, and the game ended there, 6-3 for the Chinooks.

Novice Chinooks vs Coaldale Cobras
| #10 Joab Randall celebrates another Chinooks goal against Coaldale C. Davis photos |
The Novice Chinooks hosted the Coaldale Cobras on Sunday, October 21. The game was a bit of a mismatch, with the Chinooks dominating throughout to a final score too big for my keypad to record.
Chinooks #6 Riley Potts was a phenomena out there, scoring four goals and getting 3 assists. #4 Drew Stuckey was right behind him with 3 goals and an assist. The passing play in front of the Coaldale net was a thing of beauty to see, the stuff championship teams are made of. Coaldale's goalie is to be commended as well, despite the high score against. He actually stopped more pucks than any other minor hockey goalie that played the MCC arena this weekend.
The Novice Chinooks are still in the seeding round of play. If they keep this up they might have to be bumped up to Atoms. While that's not really going to happen, this is a team to watch. They've got style and they rock the teamwork.
