Trickster Theatre arrived at Livingstone School on Monday, January 5th. Trickster is a Calgary based company established 25 years ago that goes to schools in Alberta and spends a week working with elementary students to create magical performances.  The ideas come from the students. At Livingstone School Tricksters Jamie Northan, Brett Gartley and Natalie Buckley enhanced the thoughts of the students through conversation, and then incredible skits emerged. Trickster provides lighting, sound, curtains, costumes and props in addition to performing artists and direction. Their enthusiasm and energy is transmitted to the kids, and it is an amazing process to watch and be a part of.

Livingstone School received a grant from the Alberta Foundation of the Arts for the week-long Trickster residency program, and the school decided to focus on this event instead of holding an elementary Christmas concert this school-year.
