Major snowfall in southwestern Alberta

Environment Canada, 5:11 pm MDT,  Monday March 16, 2015.

A cold front dropping through Southwestern Alberta, combined with a moist airmass aloft produced heavy snowfall beginning Sunday afternoon and ending this afternoon.

The following is a summary of weather event information received by Environment Canada:

  • Beaver Mines 50 cm
  • Bellevue 40-50 cm
  • Waterton Park 40 cm
  • Pincher Creek 30 cm
  • Lundbreck 30 cm
  • Brocket  25 cm
  • Pekisko 28 cm
  • Claresholm 14 cm
  • Fort Macleod 20 cm
  • Kananaskis 15 cm
  • Lethbridge 15 cm
