Foothills Beef Club reporter Erica Mackenzie is inviting everyone to attend the Timber Trails Club and Foothills Beef Club annual Achievement Day, to be held Monday May 25 at the Horseshoe Pavilion in Pincher Creek.

"Cleaver Kids is first. It introduces younger kids into 4-H. They join the meetings, they see what it's all about. It's optional to have a project. There's three calves, two sheep, and six Cleaver Kids.  One doesn't have a project. That starts at 12:30. Then the heifers, which is at 1:00, then there is the steers. It's just after the heifers, and it's showmanship as well. Then the sheep, which is last. There's 10 sheep, 20 steers, and there's about 15 females, or heifers. The supper is 5:00. The sale is 7:00, sharp."

Mackenzie is looking forward to the event.  "Yes, I am. This is my second show, so I am pretty excited to get back out there. Hopefully, I'll maybe win Grand Champion. I have a steer and a heifer, market beef."  Both are Red Angus.
