Charges laid in Fort Macleod hit and run


Fort Macleod RCMP

Charges have been laid as a result of the investigation into the Hit and Run of two youths in Fort Macleod, Alberta, which occurred on May 10, 2015.  Chaylee Valentine Eagleplume - Bruised Head, age 26, or no fixed address, has been charged with two counts of Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle causing bodily harm, as well as one count of Fail to Remain at an accident scene.

Eagleplume - Bruised Head has been remanded into custody to appear in Lethbridge Provincial Court on May 15, 2015 via CCTV.

The injured youths are still in hospital at this time. No further information will be provided at this time regarding the injuries to the youth or the status of their conditions.

Background:

On May 10, 2015 at approximately 10:30 pm RCMP officers were called after two pedestrians were struck on 12 Street in Fort Macleod, Alberta. A full size older light coloured car left the scene without stopping. Two youths were injured as a result of the collision and are in hospital.
