Pincher Creek Legion #43 held a salute to Father's Day with a pancake breakfast, a Poker Rally Race, followed by a barbeque.  "This is the first in a long time," said President Dick Burnham when asked if the Legion regularly held a Father's Day event.  "We always did a Mother's Day Breakfast, so we decided to do a Fathers Day event.  This will be a first annual."  The Rally was an invitation to a fun ride through the countryside to a variety of destinations.  At each destination the participants got a playing card.  Then at the end of the run there were prizes for whoever held the best poker hand.  "It's all for fun," said Town Councillor Jim Litkowski who was manning the grill in the morning.
