Boredom Buster is a program for kids aged 5-13 to swim, do crafts and play outside. This program ran on August 18th and is also upcoming on August 20th at the Pincher Creek pool.

“This program is put on by the Town of Pincher Creek Recreational program for $10 a day or $15 for both days. Our first day, 13 kids participated in the program.” said recreation department representative Claire Johnson.

Freeze tag
The first activity for the kids was open swim from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. After they swam, the kids sat down for a snack and crafts. They finished the program off by playing outdoor games and activities such as “Freeze tag” and “What time is it Mr. Wolf” from 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. before their parents came to pick them up.

“I really liked Boredom Buster,” said Jake Van Roessel, “I had a lot of fun.” All of the kids were very energetic, social and happy during the whole event; it looked like they were having a great time playing and enjoying each others company.

“My favorite part of Boredom Buster was going down the slide knowing there was no one to catch me and that I could go down it on my own”, said Bella Moller.

Outside, exercise balls in the shape of peanuts were brought out and everyone loved them! Many asked: “Can I have a turn?” Boredom sure was busted out at this fun event for kids.

For more information and to preregister for August 20 contact the Recreation Office at 403-627-4322.

Children under the age of 7 years old must be accompanied by a parent during the program.
