Miss Rodeo Canada has announced four finalists who are contending for the 2016 title. Miss Rodeo Pincher Creek 2012-2014 Chelsea Stokke is one of them.  Stokke will be competing against Miss Grande Prairie Stompede 2014 Samantha Stokes, Miss Rodeo Airdrie 2014 Terra Chalack, and Miss Ponoka Stampede 2015 Ashley Akkermans for the title.

The 2016 Miss Rodeo Canada pageant will run November 9-11, 2015 at the Canadian Finals Rodeo at Rexall Place in Edmonton.  Public events include Horsemanship, Modeling, Public Speaking, and the crowning ceremonies.

From Chelsea's bio on the Miss Rodeo Canada website: "Living immersed in a ranching community in rural Alberta, participating in 4-H, and pursuing extensive horsemanship training provided Chelsea with a profound appreciation of agriculture. It is this appreciation and passion for ranching that Chelsea hopes to inspire among others. Part of her plan for this involves increased advocacy for equine health while pursuing post-secondary studies in equine science."

Contestants are judged based on a number of factors, including expectations/overall personality, poise and maturity, intelligence and common sense, self-confidence, maturity, high moral standards, sincerity and integrity, sense of humor, showmanship, ambition, desire, enthusiasm, a happy outlook on life in general, High School education (minimum), public speaking, horsemanship, appearance and attire, modeling ability, rodeo knowledge, and social media skills.

Good luck Chelsea!
