Brian Hammond spoke to council for the Municipal District of Pincher Creek No. 9 after being re-appointed Reeve:

"There are a couple of things, I think, as you all are, very pleased that we are now up to full strength again and we have our five councillors representing our five locations around the table. I find that personally very gratifying."

"I would like to echo a little bit about what I said this morning about our strategic plan. As a council, our acceptance of the value of that as a document which sets the tone and direction in may cases, for our upcoming terms. In addition to that, we have a number of documents in place which were not here as little as two years ago. Our Infrastructure Master Plan, we have a real sense of where the needs are, and we have set priorities in terms of our growth system which is a huge issue for us, and will always be, I'm sure."

"We had some bumpy spots in the road. Some of the relationships that we have outside of our own setting. I think we have worked hard to try and resolve some of those, and I am sure that we will continue to try and do that same thing here."

"Above all, I think I am pleased and honoured to be part of a group that recognizes that we act as a council, as a group. We don't act on our own. When we reach consensus, which is a very important piece of what we do here, we are prepared to go ahead and respond on that basis with a common code. I think that's essential to how we operate."

"Thank you for your confidence. I will look forward to working with all of you, together."
