Pincher Creek Legion Branch #43 and Ladies Auxiliary #43 update

Dick Burnham

The Royal Canadian Legion Pincher Creek Branch #43 and the Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion Pincher Creek Branch #43 extend our thanks to those that assisted us in making the November 11 Remembrance Day Ceremonies a success and thanks to those that donated to our Poppy Fund, enabling us to honor those who gave their lives for the freedom and peace we enjoy today and to support and assist the veterans and their families.

The Branch and the Ladies Auxiliary are entering a very busy time of the year. We took part in the “Parade of Lights” on Friday November 20. On Sunday November 29 we will be hosting Grey Cup Sunday in the Club rooms (Doors open at 2:00 pm)

The Ladies Auxiliary contributes funds to the community and the Branch from monies raised by catering throughout the year. They have a number of banquets and suppers booked for November and December and have requested assistance from the members of the Branch with preparation, setup, serving and cleanup. Please volunteer to assist the Ladies Auxiliary and the Branch, a sign-up sheet is in the Clubrooms or call the Ladies Auxiliary Secretary at 403 627 3045. Each time you volunteer and assist your name will be entered in a quarterly draw for “A Dinner for 4 with wine” at the Legion Steak Pit.

Dues are due.  Please pay your dues by November 30, 2015 to qualify for the “Early Bird” draw. If you're not a member, applications are available in the Club rooms.

Sunday December 6, is the date of our General Meeting when we will elect the Executive to look after the Legion for the coming year.
