Mustangs past and present assemble behind Pincher Creek Football's leading lady Faith Zachar |
On Sunday November 8 the Pincher Creek Mustangs held their annual season end wrap-up party at the Foothills Community Church. There was a potluck banquet for those in attendance. Senior Mustangs Offensive Coach Dan Crawford was master of ceremonies, and Bantam Mustangs Head Coach Chris Ney organized the use of the building. Following the meal, the Mustangs coaches bestowed awards to Mustang players at each level. Over 100 people were in attendance.

This wrap up party represented 20 years of Mustangs football in Pincher Creek. Following the player awards Faith Zachar was presented with roses while MC Dan Crawford gave an impassioned speech about how she has made a difference to our community, while also imploring those in attendance to follow her example and also make a difference. Mustangs memorabilia from Zachar's personal collection was also on display at the event.
League Awards
The following day five members of the Seniors Mustangs were bestowed League Awards in Lethbridge: Running Back #18 Logan Kaack, Defensive Back #22 Bruce Kirby, Linebacker #35 Ben Riviere, Offensive Lineman #65 Austin Bruder, and Defensive Lineman #81 Matthew Duncan.

Former Mustang Cord Delinte named a Defensive All-Canadian
Okanagan Sun Defensive Back and former Mustang Cord Delinte was given his first All-Canadian award after a season that included 34 tackles, 3 assists, 5 knockdowns, and 1 interception. He also had two interceptions in the Sun's semi-final game against the Broncos.
