The following is an overview of the nature of the complaints that the Pincher Creek RCMP Detachment received for the period of December 7 to 14, 2015. Note that the summary indicates what was reported to the police and may not have been substantiated.

  • Assaults – 3
  • Break and Enter (residential) – 1
  • Fraud / Forgery - 1
  • Theft under $5000 - 2
  • Impaired Driving - 2
  • Disturbing the Peace - 2
  • Driving complaints (general) – 4
  • MV Collisions - 10
  • Liquor offences - 2
  • Suspicious occurrences (general) - 1
  • Assistance to General Public (general) - 2
  • Assistance to other agencies - 2
  • False Alarms - 1
  • 911 calls (invalid) - 1
  • Prisoners held – 7
As part of the Pincher Creek Police Advisory Committee’s educational initiative with local Bylaw and the RCMP, we are providing the following reminders related to “Traffic Safety Act” and “Rules of the Road” violations and license demerits: 
  • Make U-turn in urban area between intersections - $155 
  • Fail to obey stop sign - $388, 3 demerits 
  • Use of handheld cellphone while driving - $287, 3 demerits 
  • Fail to stop when school bus red lamps flashing - $543, 6 demerits
