A win and a loss for Peewee Chinooks

On Friday evening February 12, the Peewee Chinooks hosted Magrath's Chiefs at the MCC arena. The Chinooks earned a three point lead early in the game, but ran out of steam in the late second and third period. The Chiefs won 10-6.



The Chinooks were off to a good start in the first period, with #6 Riley Potts scoring the first goal of the game unassisted. #5 Logan Deley scored a goal shortly thereafter, assisted by #4 Connor Stuckey. The Chiefs got on the board shortly thereafter, with a goal by #5 Janx Zaremba. The Chinooks #12 Alex Comeau scored another goal to close the period out. The Chinooks pressed this lead early into the second period, with Potts scoring another goal assisted by #9 Cade Ames. However, the Chiefs turned the game around this period, scoring four goals: two by Zaremba, and one each by #24 Chayston Harris and #11 Isabella Zaremba. The Chiefs scored five more goals in the third period to the Chinooks two. For the Chinooks once each went to Comeau and Deley, with an assist by #27 Rhett Fitzpatrick, For the Chiefs three went to Harris, with one to #18 Cache Olson and one to #19 Janelle Card.


The Chinooks found more success on Saturday, February 13, when they played the Cardston Thunder at the Charlie Cheeseman Memorial Ice Centre in Cardston, winning 7-6.
