In camera notes from the Jan. 25 meeting of Pincher Creek Town Council

Several items were discussed during the January 25 meeting of Pincher Creek Town Council in camera session. This included information regarding a new daycare, changes to the Fire Hall, and the approval to go ahead with a conceptual design study for a combined curling rink and community recreation centre.

New daycare to be planned

Council agreed to direct administration proceed with the request for proposals for design and potential location for a day care facility.

Fire Hall Property Conceptual Plan

Council for the Town of Pincher Creek directed administration to send a letter to the Municipal District of Pincher Creek #9 asking that they receive the JMAA Fire Hall properties expansion proposal regarding the Fire Hall Property Conceptual Plan, and that they approve in principle the next steps of subdivision, land use zoning change, and laneway closure as required.

Curling Rink/Recreation Centre Request for Proposals

Council for the Town of Pincher Creek agree to a project budget of up to $50,000 for the feasibility, conceptual design and planning study for a combined curling rink and a community recreation centre facility. A proposal from Gibbs Gage Architects was accepted to undertake this work.
