Pincher's Creakers host 37th annual Oldtimers Hockey Tournament

Pincher Creek's Creakers hosted their 37th annual Oldtimers Hockey Tournament January 30 to February 1, 2015 at the Memorial Community Centre Arena.  12 teams competed, divided into three pools.

Participating teams included the Calgary's Chinooks and Rats, Fort Macleod's Withdrawls Booze Blues, Claresholm's Red Thunder, Coaldale's Sugar Daddies, the Fernie Oldtimers, Sparwood's Rusty Blades and Nighthawks, Lethbridge's Drillers, and Pincher Creek's Castaways and Creakers.  

Calgary's Rats scored the most goals in the tournament with 21, followed by Coaldale's Sugar Daddies with 20 goals and Sparwood's Nighthawks with 19 goals.  The dubious honor of most goals scored against went to host team the Creakers with 26,  Fort Macleod's Booze Blues had the least amount of penalties, with none.  There was a three-way tie for most penalty minutes, with the Nighthawks, Fernie's Oldtimers, and Calgary's Chinooks each serving 10 minutes.

Participants and their significant others attended a dinner held at Pincher Creek Community Hall on Saturday evening, January 30, and stayed after supper to enjoy the NSFW comedic stylings of Andrew Albert and Adam Delorey.  The evening also included door prizes and a silent auction fundraiser.
