Fatal rollover near Cameron Lake, 5 passengers injured


RCMP Pincher Creek

On April 23, 2016 at approximately 9:00 p.m., Pincher Creek RCMP and Emergency Services responded to a serious motor vehicle rollover near Cameron Lake in Waterton National Park.  The pickup truck was travelling southbound on Cameron Lake road when it left the road and rolled down a embankment into a creek bed. The driver of the vehicle was ejected from the truck and was pronounced deceased at the scene.  The five occupants managed to exit the vehicle and call for help. All five suffered non life threatening injuries


The road to Cameron Lake is closed until the investigation is complete.

Alcohol and speed are believed to be contributing factors.

The identity of the deceased is not being released at this time. All occupants are from the Cardston area.

Pincher Creek RCMP are continuing to investigate.  An update will be provided when new information becomes available.
