On Saturday April 23 the Cowley Lions Club took to the streets of the Village of Cowley, cleaning up the trash that had accumulated there. Seven volunteers met up at the Cowley Community Center before splitting into two groups in order to cover more ground. The Lions came prepared for the cold wet streets, still damp from rain that fell the previous night.
The streets were still covered in rain from the previous evening, but this didn’t faze the Cowley Lions. The village streets and alleys were fairly clean already, so they spent a lot of time cleaning up the trash from the field by the railroad tracks. They also made sure to clean up the playground.
