Golden Triangle Construction awarded Crestview Lodge construction contract

Toni Lucas

Council for the Town of Pincher Creek held their regular meeting on Monday evening, May 9. Councillor Doug Thornton reported that the Pincher Creek Foundation Board (which he is a member of) met on Thursday May 5, and at that meeting the board awarded the contract for the construction of the new Crestview Lodge. "I am pleased to announce that we passed a motion accepting the recommendation of our architect to award the contract in the amount of $11,297,000 to Golden Triangle Construction based out of Calgary."

Thornton told council he believed there were nine or ten bids for the contract. "The lowest three were taken back to our architect's office, and vetted to make sure that it didn't matter what number they put on it, we had to make sure they really had their numbers together. The architect recommended, and the board agreed that we would accept the lowest bidder, Golden Triangle Construction."
