One thing is for sure though, family can fight, and argue but in the end we always know that family has our back. I have learned though being in this community that family goes much deeper then blood. That there is a family bond in this community that is similar to blood family where when the chips are down we have each other’s back. It doesn’t seem to matter if you are new or have been here for a while; there is a sense of family here. It has been the same when it comes to some of the churches; as men like Dave Goff, Stephen Valcourt, and Andrew Craig have welcomed us into a family here and demonstrated that there is a heart of unity, but most of all a heart of family. This doesn’t happen often in the world let alone in the churches. However we are all seeing what it looks like to be family, the kind of family that the Bible talks about where we can worship on Sunday differently and even believe different things but in the end we know we are brothers bound together by blood. This blood is not that of having the same mother or father but something so much stronger. This is the blood of Jesus that was poured out for each of us, that binds us tighter then any other. Jesus says in John 13:35 “by this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
This love is not just spoken but demonstrated, lived out daily. The awesome reality in all of this is that God is at work here in this community creating family. He is calling more and more to His family all the time and maybe he is calling you today. If family is what you are really searching for it is here in Pincher Creek. There is a family that loves you and best of all Jesus loves you and wants you to come and be apart of His family.
Romans 10:9 say “if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved” You will be a part of the family.
If you are in town and are looking for a family, I would love to invite you out to be a part of our new family at Vertical Church, we are meeting on Sunday mornings at 10:30 at the big grey building beside the Vista village, to build a family and a team to serve this great community. We would love to have you here and join our growing family.
Really who doesn’t love family
You are loved
