Pincher Creek Emergency Services Commission moves forward


Chris Davis - At their September 13 meeting. during an in camera session. council for the MD of Pincher Creek agreed to sign the membership agreement for establishing the Pincher Creek Emergency Services Commission.

In a letter to Pincher Creek Emergency Services Chief Dave Cox, Town CAO Laurie Wilgosh advised that at their September 12 meeting Town council agreed to transfer "all the authorities concerning the provision of Emergency Services that were previously delegated to the Pincher Creek Emergency Services Committee, including fire and rescue services, emergency medical services, which includes inter-hospital transfers" to the Pincher Creek Emergency Services Commission.

Town council also agreed to amend the Pincher Creek Emergency Services Commission Membership Agreement " to permit the Commission to become party to this agreement."

At their September 12 meeting council for the Town of Pincher Creek agreed to support a $7000 Regional Emergency Management Organization grant application to the 2016/17 Alberta Emergency Management Preparedness Program "to facilitate a table top exercise in 2017."
