Bantam Chinooks begin 2016/17 season with two home games

Chris Davis - Like Pincher Creek's other minor hockey teams the Bantam Chinooks are playing in the Central Alberta Hockey League (CAHL) this season.  The Chinooks are currently in CAHL tier 4, during this season's tiering round.  The Chinooks struggled in their home and season opener on Friday evening, October 14 against Fort Macleod's Mustangs. The Mustangs won by a wide margin.  They fared much better against Claresholm the next day, again at home.

Claresholm edged the Chinooks 3-2 in that game.  Scoring for the Chinooks were Dillon Stevenson (unassisted) and Brayden Scotton (with an assist by Stevenson).  The Chinooks have another tiering round game away vs Crowsnest Pass at the Coleman rink next Saturday, October 22, to begin at 4:30 pm.  On Sunday October 23 they will travel to Vulcan for a game scheduled to start at 12:30 pm.
