Lethbridge man faces charges related to vehicle thefts

RCMP Alberta - On November 2 RCMP Claresholm were advised by Picture Butte RCMP of a stolen vehicle that was heading towards Claresholm. They were advised that the vehicle was driving erratically and had gone into the ditch on one occasion.

Claresholm and Fort MacLeod RCMP members located the vehicle on Hwy 23 south of Barons.

Timothy Corey Scout of Lethbridge, AB had been charged with numerous criminal code charges and has been remanded in custody to appear in Fort MacLeod Provincial Court on November 9.

The vehicle had been stolen from Lethbridge earlier in the afternoon. The accused is also facing numerous criminal code charges from Lethbridge Police after he was involved in numerous other thefts from vehicles and attempts to steal other vehicle. When Scout was initially located he failed to stop for Lethbridge Police officers and with a large amount of pedestrian and vehicle traffic in the area a pursuit could not be initiated in the interest of public safety. His first appearance on the Lethbridge Police charges was scheduled for November 3.
