Town to discontinue bus service

Council for the Town of Pincher Creek during the May 13 regular meeting approved the recommendation from the Transportation Committee to discontinue the scheduled bus service effective May 31.

Injury collision near Cowley


Pincher Creek RCMP - Pincher Creek RCMP are currently investigating a two vehicle collision which occurred at the intersection of Highway 3 and Highway 510 near Cowley, Alberta at approximately 3:50 pm today. A one-ton truck travelling southbound was in collision with an SUV travelling westbound. A 48-year-old female passenger in the SUV has been transported to hospital with serious injuries. There were a total of 6 occupants in the SUV and no one else was injured in that vehicle. The 75-year-old male driver and lone occupant of the truck was transported to hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Pincher Creek RCMP with the assistance of an RCMP Collision Analyst continue to investigate and traffic is being re-routed through Cowley. No additional details are currently available at this time.

Pincher Creek RCMP investigating rural Break and Enter

- On May 10th, 2019 at approximately 06:00 am person(s) unknown broke into a home located on the Summerview Feedlot. The house was not occupied at the time of the break and enter. After gaining access to the house unknown suspects proceeded to steal a firearm with ammunition that was locked in a storage room as well as some meat from a freezer. Surveillance video captured a white truck and a side by side OHV with orange fenders or hood area, leaving the area, they are believed to be involved in this break and enter.

Pincher Creek RCMP is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the suspects in this theft.
