Map shows diversity of Alberta's Aboriginal peoples

A new community profiles map promotes greater awareness and understanding of the diversity of Alberta’s many Aboriginal communities.

The map is an easy-to-use guide to all eight Metis Settlements and 48 First Nations in the province.

Alberta has one of the largest and fastest-growing Aboriginal populations in Canada, forming a community that is an integral part of the historic, economic, and cultural life of the province. The interactive map provides users with basic information on community locations, population, contacts, linguistic groups, and tribal affiliation.
