Pincher Creek Golf Club held an open house on Friday, April 25 at the club restaurant. It was an opportunity to introduce people to three new managers of the club, and see the facilities.

Entertainment was provided by the Mountain Fiddlers, a variety of food samples were available to try, and a wine tasting bar added to the festive atmosphere.

The three new managers expressed their delight to be here. New Golf Course Superintendent Ron Lacombe will be caring for the course and has over 20 years experience in course management. Although new to the area he said he was "Impressed by the level of member volunteerism." He felt that the grounds were already in good shape but has plans to improve some things including the health of the turf. Golfing opened one week ago, but the course is on limited spring hours until May 15, when the summer hours will commence from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm daily.

Pro Shop Manger Gary Linn has been busy in the short time he has been working at the course, moving the shop to the east side of the building into the sunroom that overlooks the course. With more room available he has been busy ordering new stock.

With a packed house new Restaurant Manager Joni McArthur did not have time to do more than pose for a picture. Linn and McArthur have worked together previously at Indian Hill Golf Course in Coaldale. "She has a wide range of culinary expertise," said Linn. "She is friendly, very customer oriented, and I have never heard a bad word about her food."
