What a great year for baseball in Chinook West this year. Mother nature cooperated and lots of games were played. The League Championships finally went of without any issues. After a 2 year hiatus, the tournament was held in Elkford, BC with Claresholm coming out on top for Minors and Crowsnest Pass coming out on top for Majors. The kids got to showcase their talents once again as Pincher Creek hosted the Southern Alberta Summer Games from July 2 - 5.

Summer rolled in and two teams for All Stars were formed. First we had the Minor AA Cardinals who brought home Silver at the Lethbridge North Minor AA tournament. This team was made up of kids from Claresholm, Ft. Macleod, Pincher Creek and Crowsnest Pass. Next we had the Major AA Storm who played a couple exhibition games with Medicine Hat, finished 4th at the Southwest Little League Major AA tournament and then took gold at another Southwest Little League Major tournament to round out their season. This team consisted of players from all over the league from Champion, AB to Fernie, BC.

We at Chinook West Little League want to extend a huge congratulations to all the players and a massive THANK YOU to all of the coaches and parents and grandparents for your valuable time and efforts to make this all happen. We know there are some volunteers out there who don't have kids playing anymore but they still give their time and we applaud them as well. With so much that goes on behind the scenes it really is impossible to thank everyone as even the slightest task is a huge help towards keeping Little League successful.

We are pleased to see the excitement for baseball building yet again in Chinook West and we hope that this momentum keeps up and propels us long into the future.
