Pincher Creek's Ranchland Mall held their second annual Harvest Festival on Saturday, September 27.  The mall was packed with people enjoying the many events, vendors, and activities.

A dunk tank sponsored by Crow Signs, In Style Salon, and the Mall Tenants Association raised funds to install an automated external defibrillator (AED) in the mall, with Pincher Creek Emergency Services Chief Dave Cox, MD of Pincher Creek councillor Fred Schoening, and Town of Pincher Creek councillor Wayne Elliott all taking several plunges in the less than warm weather for the cause.

High Country Western Wear Fashion Show
High Country Western Wear celebrated their Grand Opening in the mall with a fashion show, watch for an upcoming article about that event with more pictures soon.

Rocky Mountain Fiddlers
The Rocky Mountain Fiddlers returned, performing for an appreciative audience.

Parent Link held a silent auction, offered various entertainments for kids, and wrapped up the event with a highly successful Cake Walk and Family Dance.

The pie eating contest also returned, this time with Fred Schoening, Wayne Elliott, Luke Schoening, Justin Schoening, Nicki Schoening, and Co-op GM David Crowell all participating.  Nicki was last year's winner.  Wayne put on the best show.  However, once the crust settled Luke Schoening emerged as this year's winner, granting him the right to assign the proceeds ($20 per participant) to the charity of his choice. He chose the mall AED initiative.  Participants got to bring a fresh pie home with them as well.
