Two vehicle collision on Highway 22 sends three to hospital

A pick up truck and a van collided on Highway 22 today on Tuesday, September 30. The accident occurred at approximately 2:00 pm roughly three miles north of the Highway 3,Highway 22 junction. Pincher Creek Emergency Services Chief Dave Cox reported that three people were sent to hospital from the two vehicles, although there were no apparent serious injuries. There was hail in the area at the time, and Cox said that the weather may have been a factor.

Pincher Creek Rescue, two Pincher Creek ambulances and Crowsnest Pass  RCMP responded to the  scene.  CNP Fire was returning to station on a transfer via Highway 22 and stopped to assist. Chief  Cox reported that they did not have to shut down the highway, but traffic was directed through the area until the scene was cleared.
