Atom Chinooks defeat Cardston at home opener

Atom Cardston Thunder faces off against Atom Chinooks
Chris Davis

Pincher Creek's Atom Chinooks began their 2014/15 season with a home win against Cardston's Thunder on Friday night, October 24.  The Chinooks dominated the game throughout, a game that was cleanly played and a hopeful harbinger of things to come for what looks to be a powerhouse Chinooks team.  They play as a team, and on this evening they were sharp both offensively and defensively.

For the Chinooks: Captain #6 Riley Potts scored the first two goals of the game, and went on to score three more, also earning two assists.  Potts is continuing to be an inspirational player for the Chinooks this season, as evidenced by his consistently natural end-to-end plays.   #4 Drew Stuckey scored twice and earned an assist. #28 Cory Dyck scored twice. #27 Rhett Fitzpatrick scored twice and earned two assists. #21 Kieran Randall scored once and earned three assists. #2 Jaron Scotton scoted once. #19 Colton Kirkman earned four assists. #16 Aiden Potts earned three assists. Also earning assists were #14 Travis Pastein, and two for #18 Noa Jesson. #1 Koltyn "Kipper" Kipling ably manned the Chinooks net.
