On Saturday, February 13 the Pincher Creek Initiation Chinooks hosted a for fun tournament, starting at 8:00 am and ending at 6:00 pm. Five teams were in attendance, including the Pincher Creek Chinooks, the Lethbridge White Lightening, the Claresholm Thunder, the Cardston Thunder, and the Okotoks Blackhawks. Games were played in two 27 minute periods, with the clock running, and every three minutes the line-ups would change, and they would have a new face-off. The Chinooks played two games, losing to Cardston by two points, and losing to Lethbridge by a wide margin. The Heart of Hustle Award was given to athletes on each team deserving of recognition of their development and commitment to hockey. For the Chinooks #10 Bronek Mckenzie won this award.

Assistant Coach Archie Craig explained that the Heart and Hustle award is given to the player deserving of recognition for their effort and the development of their skills. He said he was very happy with the way his team played throughout the tournament. "During game one the team really came together. We've been working all season to really see the results we've seen. We did lose game 1, but at this age its more about seeing their skills come together and the development of their hockey."
