Pincher Creek Central Park rezoning passes first reading

During the regular meeting of Town of Pincher Creek council on Monday evening February 8 council gave Bylaw #1547-Y first reading. The purposeof the bylaw is to amend the zoning designation of the playground and park immediately to the west of Town Hall. Currently known as Central Park, it was the playground and open space for Central School before the Town of Pincher Creek took over the building. This area is currently designated as Public Institutional Land. The amendment will allow the re-designation of the area to Parks and Open Spaces. A public hearing regarding the proposed bylaw will be held on March 14, 2016.
