On Saturday March 5 Pincher Creek's Atom Chinooks hosted the Cardston Thunder at the MCC Arena in Pincher Creek. Things looked close in the first period, but the Chinooks were in great form in the second half of the game, ultimately earning a wide margin win.
The first half of the first period was tight, with no goals scored. With 9:22 on the clock #4 Drew Stuckey scored the first goal of the game for the Chinooks, assisted by #12 Jaydon Draper and #10 Joah Randall. #23 Josey Wales Waterchief scored the Chinooks second goal with only two and a half minutes in the period, assisted by Stuckey. However, the Thunder's #4 Rodie Pickens followed up each of these goals up with goals of his own, and the teams were tied going into the second.
The Chinooks scored the majority of their goals in the second period, with Stuckey scoring three, #16 Aiden Potts, Josey Waterchief and Jaydon Draper scoring two each, with assists to Aiden Potts, Jaydon Draper, Josey Waterchief, Drew Stuckey. Joah Randall #13 Varian Caldwell, #14 Travis Bastien, #9 Maddix Dyck. The Thunder's #4 Rodie Pickens scored one more goal in the second period.
