2016 Rocky Mountain Swine and Chinook Multi Club 4-H Achievement Day

Josh Davis - On Monday June 6, 2016, Pincher Creek's Rocky Mountain Swine 4-H Club and Chinook 4-H Multiclub held their annual achievement day at the Horseshoe Pavilion. The day began with an introduction of the two clubs, with the Market Hog show taking place at 2:00 PM, and the Lamb Show starting around 4:00 PM. Supper was served at 5:30 PM, followed by the sale of 8 Market Lambs and 22 Market Hogs at 7. Bob Westrop served as master of ceremonies while the club members showed their animal projects, including market animals. This year they auctioned both swine and sheep projects.

New to this joint achievement day were the multiclubs non-salable projects. Those projects included canines, small engines, and poultry, and were on display throughout the day. Rein Overweg judged the swine, with Anna Welsch judging the sheep.Various mechanical projects were on display as well.
