Bicyclist child not injured in Cardston hit and run incident, suspects sought

Cardston RCMP - On June 6, 2016 at approximately 7:10 pm Cardston RCMP were dispatched to a call of a child being struck by a vehicle on 9th Avenue W in Cardston. A bicycle was travelling westbound when he was struck from behind by a silver or grey newer car. The vehicle came to a stop, backed up and drove around the child, continuing to head westbound without offering assistance. The child was not injured but was shaken up in the incident.

The occupants of the vehicle are described as both being aboriginal, the driver having short black hair and wearing a grey hat. The vehicle also reportedly had a yellow air freshener hanging from the rear view mirror.

Cardston RCMP is asking the public for help in identifying those responsible. If you witnessed this or know someone involved please contact the Cardston RCMP at 403-653-4932.
