On August 27 of last year the Town of Pincher Creek and the Municipal District of Pincher Creek No. 9 (MD) announced they had reached an agreement "to jointly provide fire and ambulance services through the Pincher Creek Emergency Services Commission" and that disaster management services "will be jointly provided by the newly formed Pincher Creek Emergency Management Organization". The regulation of the commission covers the establishment, members, services, operating deficits, property, profit and surpluses, and approval of Pincher Creek Emergency Services.
MD representatives were unwilling to provide more information to this reporter about council's request for an inspection, citing potential legal issues.
