House badly damaged by fire in Cowley (updated)

Chris Davis - Cowley Fire responded to a house on fire in the Village of Cowley this morning just before 9:00 am. Pincher Creek Emergency Services also responded to assist, including Lundbreck Fire. The fire was contained quickly and doused by noon. Cowley Fire members remained on-scene with the Cowley fire engine for the rest of the day to ensure the fire did not reignite/ The house was badly damaged by the fire. No people or pets were injured, as the house was unoccupied at the time of the fire. According to Cowley Fire Chief Jim Cisar, a subsequent investigation conducted on Friday has determined that the fire was not of a suspicious nature.
